Options – sorry modules could be blocked in a way that works best for integration – eg – Music/ Performance and IT…. Food Tech, Art, Workshop……. Instead of integrating with the HR all the time perhaps we could look at Modules working together and working on a theme together. The curriculum in HR is using an integrated approach already – we have made huge changes already over the last two years and I would hate to throw out what we have just started to develop. Maths, Soc, Sc, Eng – literacy and numeracy needs to be focussed on in all areas – it is happening but I wonder if we spend enough time on the basics. Are we trying to do too much – should we identify a list of skills that we see as esential – students will have a sound grasp of these before they move into Y9?
